The rooms at Ivory Tree Lodge are beautifully decorated in earthy tones and have been well co-ordinated, ensuring comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors. Each room includes twin beds, en-suite bathrooms with outdoor showers, a mini bar fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, mini safes, air-conditioning and heating systems and a covered patio. The 4 Executive suites further boast, a lounge, which can accommodate 2 children, a television, fireplace and private plunge pools.

Ivory Tree Safaris & Wildlife
Ivory Tree Game Lodge is located within the Pilanesberg National Park – a Big 5 Game Reserve which is home to, not only Africa’s ‘Big’ – lion, elephant, buffalo, black and white rhino and leopard but also cheetah and wild dog, crocodile, hippo, giraffe, zebra, monkey, baboon, warthog and numerous antelope species including waterbuck, springbok, impala, kudu, blesbok, tsessebe, steenbok, eland and wildebeest. In addition to this there are a number of more elusive and less common animals which are occasionally sighted. Pilanesberg National Park boasts over 250 different bird species.
Open vehicle safaris are conducted twice daily in game viewers which have been custom built to permit maximum visibility and seat a maximum of 10 guests. The safaris are conducted by trained and experienced rangers who help interpret the sights and sounds of the African bush and who will share their knowledge and passion for the African bushveld.
Special Interest Safaris
Guests at Ivory Tree Game Lodge can also enjoy special interest safaris which are conducted with highly trained, specialist guides who will devote their time to sharing their knowledge and skills on bird safaris – there are over 280 recorded bird species in Pilanesberg, botany drives – including the medicinal uses of indigenous plants, astronomy and mythology drives or frog identification tours in the summer months. Involving guests in wildlife management and conservation exercises has always been a concept beyond the reach of most guests, but at Ivory Tree Game Lodge, guests can also arrange to partake in game capture activities – branding, placing or removing collars and inserting micro chips etc
