Wildlife possible encountered in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve
Enjoy an African safari into the Pilanesberg National Park. Guided game drives in “open” safari vehicles are arranged from the Lodge. The Pilanesberg Game Reserve is a Big Five wildlife destination.

Lion, Elephant, Black and White Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard - Big Five- along with Cheetah and Wild Dog – the Magnificent seven.
Giraffe, Zebra, Warthog, Baboon, Monkey, Hippo, Crocodile, and a variety of Antelope including Kudu, Impala, Waterbuck, Springbok, Wildebeest, Eland, Blesbok, Tsessebe and Steenbok are regularly seen, along with a number of the more elusive or less common animals such as Brown Hyena and a bird population of over 250 different species.

Bakubung Bush Lodge Activities
Your wildlife experiences may be shared around a Boma fire, while you marvel at the spectacle of stars at our exclusive Lapa in the park. Additional daytime activities include board games, Table tennis, darts, outdoor chess. There is a Children's adventure playground, swimming pool, Two floodlit tennis courts, a Volleyball court and Action cricket.

Bakubung Bush Lodge is accessible by road with Johannesburg at a distance of only 175km, Pretoria 135km and Sun City 10km.
